VfL Osnabrück – Hamburger SV 2: 1 (2: 0)
VfL Osnabrück remain unbeaten in the sixth game in a row. The newly promoted won against HSV thanks to a strong defensive performance in the second half. Niklas Schmidt (37 minutes) and David Blacha (45. + 2) scored for Osnabrück. Sonny Kittel scored the goal for the guests (64.)
Both teams tried from the beginning to play fast forward. The better chances had at first the guests. Martin Harnik put the ball close to the goal (20.) and then to the post (23.). In the best HSV phase to date, VfL took the lead. Rick van Drongelen and Gideon Jung were quite easy to play by Schmidt, who crowned his solo with a tunnel by HSV goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes. Shortly before the break Blacha hit the head to 2: 0.
With Jairo and David Kinsombi for Bobby Wood and Christoph Moritz, the 32 goal-scoring team in the league tried to turn the game after the break, but initially did not get through against the league's best defense (13 goals before the game). With one of the few chances Hamburg Kittel succeeded only the connection.
Osnabrück are in the sixth game without defeat for the time being in seventh place, HSV remains first, but would lose the championship lead in a draw by Arminia Bielefeld.
Karlsruher SC – Jahn Regensburg 4: 1 (2: 0)
Jahn Regensburg has lost after seven games without defeat again. In Karlsruhe, the Süddeutsche were subject to goals from Anton Fink (17th), Philipp Hofmann (21st, 56th) and Marvin Wanitzek (90th) a strong playing KSC. Max Besuschkow scored for the guests (70.). Karlsruhe is eighth after the victory for the time being, Regensburg is currently in sixth place.
With four home games without defeat in the back played Karlsruhe from the beginning courageously forward. The leadership was then a coincidental product. Hoffmann headed for a corner forward partner Fink, from whose back the ball fell at his feet, so that Fink could insert a short distance. Four minutes later, Hoffmann showed more accurate and scored the 2: 0. The second goal of Hoffmann was the preliminary decision, even if Regenburg had some good chances after visiting goal.
