The real house is the LaLaurie estate in America. Once there lived the serial murderer Delphine LaLaurie, who tortured and murdered slaves in her home. After her house burned down in 1834, it was rebuilt in 1838 and has been used for a variety of purposes ever since. A former owner is said to have been Nicholas Cage. Meanwhile, the house has become a popular destination for tourists. The Hayes brothers were already there and reportedly experienced things they could not believe.
