Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle marked the beginning of comic book adaptation. With The King's Man: The Beginning now follows the prequel to the two spy action movies. So far, this should already appear in cinemas in February 2020. But that will not work, so the start had to be postponed. The fact that the theatrical release of films has to be postponed is almost routine nowadays. For example, Disney recently changed the dates of some secret Marvel films. Also projects of studios, which belong to Disney, do not make it to the original starting shot. So did Twentieth-Century-Fox, who had to relocate The King's Man for a full seven months. According to the deadline, the film will not start on the planned 14 February 2020. Instead, it will only start on 18 September 2020.
One reason for the postponed start date called Disney yet. Seven months are no small matter for such a movie and the question is, what is behind this change. Does the mouse group want to place a big name for September 2020? Or are the creators not satisfied with the film and have a Nachdreh in mind? So far, one can only speculate about these questions.
But it is clear that there will be a reunion with Ralp Fiennes and many other stars. Among others, Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time), Rhys Ifans (Snowden), Matthew Goode (Downton Abbey), Tom Hollander (Pride & Prejudice), Daniel Brühl (The First Avenger: Civil War) and Charles Dance (Game Of Thrones) in various roles.
With The King's Man: The Beginning, director Matthew Vaughn provides the background to Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. This time, the espionage organization is working at the time of the First World War. How that ends, we will now learn from the new start date. The King's Man: The Beginning will be released on September 18, 2020.
