As the year draws to a close, Spotify has published a list of the most frequently streamed artists this year. Globally speaking, the US rapper Post Malone is ahead of the pack for the musicians, but three German podcasts can also prevail internationally.
Streaming provider Spotify reveals just before the end of the year, which musicians have moved the people in 2019 the world's most. US rapper Post Malone was the most streamed artist. The most streamed song, however, comes from Shawn Mendes and his girlfriend Camilla Cabello. "Senorita" has been played more than a billion times. Directly behind is "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish, with "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" at the same time the first place in the world albums occupied. German podcasts far ahead at the top in Germany is Capital Bra. His album "CB6" was heard the most in this country. Second place goes to Capital Bra and his longplayer "Berlin lives 2" recorded together with rapper Samra. The third place on the podium is occupied by Mero and his album "Ya Hero Ya Mero" another genre colleague. The most streamed song in Germany is "Roller" by the South German rapper Apache 207.The podcast "Mixed Hack" by comedian Felix Lobrecht and comedy writer Tommi Schmitt has made it to the second place in the worldwide ranking of the "Spotify Original Podcasts" and thus even The colleagues Schulz and Böhmermann have been overtaken by "Fest & Flauschig". Ed Sheeran finished second. This is followed by Post Malone, Ariana Grande and Eminem. Sheeran, however, has the nose on the most streamed songs of the decade. His song "Shape Of You" was played 2.3 billion times – and more often as "One Dance" by Drake, Kyla and WizKid.
