The Pass: Sky Series Launches Free TV Today

Mysterious murders keep the German-Austrian border area in suspense: From Sunday, December 1, 2019, the ZDF shows the thriller series "The Pass" as a free-TV premiere – in four double episodes, Sundays and Mondays from 10:15 pm. At the same time as the TV broadcast, the thriller series is available from Sunday, 1 December 2019, until Monday, 9 March 2020, in the ZDFmediathek. The main roles play Julia Jentsch and Nicholas Ofczarek as unequal investigator duo and Franz Hartwig as a deftly acting serial killer. Inspired by the original idea of the ZDF co-production "The Bridge", Cyrill Boss and Philipp Stennert directed and wrote the scripts together with Mike Majzen.
A few weeks before Christmas, a body is displayed in the mountains – exactly on the German-Austrian border. For the investigation, Commissioner Ellie Stocker (Julia Jentsch) from Berchtesgaden and Gedeon Winter from Salzburg (Nicholas Ofczarek) form a transnational team. The eccentric Commissioner Winter initially has no interest in cooperation. Only when more corpses are discovered in the border area, all pointing to the same pattern of action, it is clear that an intelligent serial offender drives his mischief here. Ellie Stocker and Gedeon Winter need to find answers to the killer's messages before hitting them again.
