SINISTHRA have signed a record deal with the Italian label Rockshots Records and will release their new record "The Broad And Beaten Way" in May.
The Finnish band around singer Tomi Joutsen (AMORPHIS) wrote the songs for the long player a long time ago. Since the other projects and bands of the musicians, above all AMORPHIS, had priority, 15 years have passed since the last studio album "Last Of The Stories Of Long Past Glories". About "The Broad And Beaten Way" SINISTHRA reveal: "The album title comes from "Paradise Lost" by John Milton. "The Broad And Beaten Way" is a bridge from hell to earth, the lyrics were inspired by the decline of humanity and by leading a chaotic and self-destructive life in our time and trying to find one solid ground and maybe even some peace of mind. In the first song 'Eterne', the metaphorical Adam and Eve are banished from Eden and from their unity, and in the last song 'Ephemeral' Adam is the only one who finally accepts that his past actions were meaningless.
